Feminine St. Michael

"The worship of the Greek goddess of wisdom, "Sophia" ...the archangel Michael incarnate,"

The Barque of St. Peter, the Fishnet of Judgement, and the Queen of the South

Rogier van der Weyden "St. Michael Weighing the Souls, from the Last Judgement". Gasc refers to the Dipper as the Barque of St. Peter, and his fishnet as the Last Judgement. She references the Queen of the South with the Last Judgement, because the Queen of Sheba traveled to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Christ said that Sheba would witness that His generation had rejected one who was greater than Solomon.(Here we have Egyptian queens representing the Queen of the South). Queen Hatshepsut. Jan van Eyck`s "St. Michael at the Last Judgement" 1420s or 1430s (click to enlarge). Has Gasc touched on the Queen of the South and the feminine depictions of St. Michael at the End of Days?

The Queen of the South

"Queen of the South is an alternative title for the Queen of Sheba. The phrase Queen of the South is used in the New Testament and is attributed to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is quoted in the Bible as to have said "The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here." (Matthew 12: 42) (Luke 11: 31) Gasc mentions the Queen of the South as one of the mysteries in her paintings.
